Brotherly Love

Ohhh good times. The pictures say it all. All I know is I was laughing REALLY hard while all this was going on. Gotta love slapping fights with brothers. Pretty darn entertaining!

One of my favorites...Love Emily napping while all this is going on!

Grandma Walton's Funeral

This was a really tough day for our whole family. One of the many WONDERFUL things our grandparents gave us, was a very close extended family. All growing up we had Sunday dinners at Grandma and Grandpa Walton's house with all of our cousins. Great Grandma and Grandpa Dahlin would come sometimes, too. It has been an amazing thing to be so close.

Growing up, I thought that was completely normal. I thought that everyone had their cousins live within 8 miles of them. I love that funerals, though such sad days, bring families back together. I also love that facebook and blogs help me keep up with my cousins' lives. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful family. Here are a few pictures of the day:

Our family, sans spouses

Two of my beautiful cousins--Jessica and Courtney--and me

Our aunts and uncles, sans Uncle Chuck (He is currently a mission president in Portugal.)

All of the cousins!

The girls!

The boys! (Man, there really are a LOT more Walton boys than girls!)

Heart Attacking With The Young Women

For those of you who don't know, I now have the incredible opportunity to be in the Young Women's presidency. I am the 2nd counselor, so I am over the Beehives. Also, Sam is the 2nd counselor in the Young Men's presidency! So its been a lot of fun lately! We both absolutely love working with the youth. I couldn't imagine better callings for us right now.

This year, we decided to heart attack our incoming Beehives. So much fun! LOVE these girls!

(Hehe and the hearts are courtesy of my new vinyl cutter!! SOOO EASY!)

Our Christmas Eve Dinner

Sam and I finally used our china for the first time! I can't remember everything we ate, but I do remember that we foolishly decided to have steak on our china... hehe I had us cut it on separate plates before. I reminded myself of Monica from Friends when they use their china for Thanksgiving dinner.

"In fact I think that everyone should cut their food like this." (Monica holds a turkey leg up in the air over the plate trying to cut meat off with a knife) "Now see, this way you protect the plate... and lets face it, you have fun!" hehe. Isn't it beautiful though??

Thank you to all of you who gave us our beautiful fancy dinnerware!! hehe.

Christmas Eve Eve Celebration

We have a little bit of a different tradition in the Walton family since siblings have gotten married. We always have a Christmas Eve Eve celebration, so we never have to fight for Christmas Eve. There have been talent shows, Nativities, Romanian brothers gymnastics, etc... but this Nativity was problem the most extensive costume-wise! We usually like to have the Nativity be just the grandkids, but this year the only family with kids was Chris and Jamie's. So Brian and Kate played Mary and Joseph, and Sean of course played baby Jesus. (Pretty big for a "newborn!") Jeremy, Mike, and Jason played the wise guys. Sam and I played the part of shepherds, Krista and Maria were angels, Stephanie was in charge of our wonderful costumes, and Jamie directed! Lots of giggles throughout this experience, but Brian and Kate took it so seriously!!

Oh my goodness. Sean is so stinking cute!!
