Lavish Lancaster!
Ok...so this town is definitely not lavish...but hey its alliteration! We had SO much fun here, and not just because our hotel was super close to 2 fantastic outlet malls! For those of you who don't know, this is the heart of Amish country! Sam grew up about an hour and a half from here...that explains a lot...haha. A few pictures of our stay there:

Philadelphia, PA
Still trying to catch up on posts from our trip before our next big one!
Our next stop was Philly! We had a great time seeing the sights!

Liberty Bell!

So I kind of fell in love with this little house! Loved the red shutters and red door!
Supposedly these are the best cheesesteaks in Philly...not quite sure if I agree on that (I personally prefer my dads) but Sam loved his!

Outrageous Ocean City Beach, Maryland
Our next stop (yes this was a jam packed trip so I am breaking it down into days/cities) was Ocean City Maryland! It was fantastic!! We drove a about 3 hours (from the DC Temple) and got there about midnight. We were so excited to get to our romantic beach hotel, walked up to the room, and saw 2 twin beds....awesome. Sam was so bitter, and spent about an hour and a half on the phone with hotels.com and the hotel management...not so fun. And no we couldn't push the beds together...they were bolted where they were! So yes, because I can't sleep alone anymore, we slept in a twin bed together. Haha I woke up so refreshed and slept so well, and Sam had a pretty horrible sleep. Love the difference between men and women haha! We hung out at the beach in the morning! It was my first time in the Atlantic Ocean!

I always like writing our names in the sand at the beach. I just think it is fun!

We laughed pretty hard at that street sign! Sam made me pose with it! hehe!

My Heaven on Earth right here. Not only was I engulfed in all of this delectable candy, but the colors in there were spectacular. Bright pretty colors can cheer me up no matter what. Loved this store!! We got some really good salt water taffy here!

We had a terrific time walking up and down the Ocean City Boardwalk. LOTS of people watching which I always love. That picture is of the boardwalk from the pier. It was pretty long if you can tell!

Sam eating some Dip n' Dots...there are the ice cream of the future you know. Although I think they have had that title for a long time now...is it not the future yet??

Wonderful Washington DC
After hitting Baltimore we went to Washington DC! We took a bus tour around to all of the sights! It was so amazing! Here are a few of our highlights (yes there are a lot of pictures!!):
Lincoln Memorial:

Washington Monument:

Korean War Veterans Memorial:

World War II Memorial:
My Pennsylvania man!
California Girl through and through!

George Walton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence! So cool to see a distant relative on here!
John Hancock of course!
The White House:

Yea he is touching a piece of the moon!
I always knew I would make a fantastic flight attendant!
Oh Sam...these ones are at the Smithsonian Aviation Museum by the way!
Spirit of the St. Louis!
I'm just a bill....on capitol hill! It was cool to see Sam standing on the steps that his grandpa walked on! He was a State Senator for Pennsylvania, William B. Lentz!
Arlington Memorial Changing of the Guards. A cool ceremony! They guard the Tomb of The Unknown Soldiers.

A cool cathedral we passed on the way to the temple! I thought it was beautiful so I made Sam stop..hehe.
The Washington DC Temple, such an amazing place! I love that Sam and I know try to always make going to the Temple part of our vacation. It makes our vacation that much more special.
All in all a fantastic and crazy packed day in Washington DC! Thank you for taking me to this amazing place babe!

Bodacious Baltimore
A few weeks ago Sam and I had a FABULOUS trip to the East Coast to see the sights and visit his family. SUCH an amazing trip!
First stop:
Baltimore Maryland
We went to Inner Harbor and hung out for awhile at the National Aquarium. Such a cool place! I can't remember the last time I have been to an aquarium so that was pretty cool, even though I have a weird fear of fish. But there were also plenty Turtles which I seemed to have fallen in love with since Hawaii last summer!

After going through the entire aquarium, we prepared ourselves for Phillips Seafood Buffett...translation: pounds and pounds of crab legs!
(before)

(after!)

Man I love crab legs! Yea...I make messes when I eat! hehe.
After Phillip's, we went to the Orioles vs. Red Sox game. It was pretty darn fun! I had never been rained out at a baseball game before! That game was also the biggest comeback in Baltimore Oriole history!!
Orioles were losing to the Red Sox 10-1...not so good. Then it started absolutely pouring!! Since it was late in the game most people just left. Sam and I tried to hold out, but it kept pouring for an hour and we had to drive for like 2 hours, so we left...then when we got to our hotel and Sam turned on Sportscenter...sure enough, Orioles came back and beat the Red Sox 11-10! So crazy!

Hehe we got soaked! What a cute husby I have!!

Our Hammock
Sam and I have had quite the Hammock saga lately! In Sam's old house (in his bachelor days in Palo Alto) he had this great hammock out on the back porch. It was such a perfect place to lie out on a spring night and look at the stars! We had a lot of fun with it. So when it came time for him to move into our last apartment he wasn't ready to just leave it at the house, so he brought it with him and put it into storage. It sat in storage for a few months, when Sam finally decided it was time to get rid of it, since we had no place to put it. So he sold it on craigslist.
Well about a month later we got the call to move into our new apartment, which has a FABULOUS good sized fenced in porch! Sam immediately thought about the hammock. So onto craigslist again to find a new one. We kept looking trying to find the perfect one. Finally we just decided to get the stand from someone, that had an older rope hammock attached to it. And buy a nice fabric/padded one from Ikea. We were so excited about it! We painted the hammock stand bright red to match the red and white ikea hammock. After the stand dried, we were so excited to hook on the new hammock and test it out. Hooked it on, and it was the WIDEST hammock I have ever seen! It was as big as a full-sized bed! We both fit on there easily without touching and 2 other people could have joined us without it being awkward! It took up basically the whole width of our porch...we decided that definitely wasn't going to work.
So Sam thought maybe we should just use the rope hammock it came with. Sam hooked it all up again and went to lay in it. As soon as he put is weight on it, it all came apart and Sam ended up on the floor!

So we finally found a solution! LONG story short. We are now using our camping hammock (Sam used it to camp on the beach in Hawaii when he was visiting me). And we couldn't be happier with it! SO nice to lay out in the hammock on a summer night!

Clubbing!
To celebrate me FINALLY being 21, we went clubbing!! Andie came with us and it was so fun! For the last couple of years now Andie has texted me on a Friday every once in awhile inviting me to go dancing, and then I text her back reminding her that I am not allowed in clubs. So now I could actually go! It was so fun. We went to an 80's/hip hop club in San Francisco. We had a blast. A few pictures from the evening:

Our dresses were the perfect mix between 80s prom dresses and cute club outfits! Don't ya think?
